Young Guns
Our Young Guns program is delivered from our Mersey Leven site at Valley Road. We offer an exciting, fun, safe and fully supervised program run by experienced educators who also work in our After School Care programs, so chances are your children already know the educators.
We offer a variety of experiences including craft activities, cooking, home corner, dress ups, relaxing with a DVD, playing the computer, the Play Station and the Wii. We have 3 rooms that we occupy so there is plenty of space for the children to choose what they would like to do, and that is only the indoor activities!
Our outdoor area is made up of two large spaces where we offer an assortment of outdoor activities which will sure to please all children. Some of these include bikes, rip sticks, scooters, sandpit, basketball hoops, football, and places to make cubbies, slide, obstacle courses and many more great outdoor activities.
Then there are our fantastic excursions we offer, which occur one to two times a week. These include Kids Paradise and the Aquatic Centre in Launceston, bowling, gymnastics, Wings Wildlife Park and lots more. It makes you wish you were a kid again, doesnt it?
Adventure Program
The Adventure Program is delivered from the Devonport Soccer Club in Lovett Street. This program recognizes that older children want and need different experiences than those of younger children and as such is a bit more spontaneous. Our facilities offer eight ball, play station, DVDs as well as the usual craft activities such as jewelery making, bead work etc.
We encourage and participate in several walking excursions, whether it be lunch at Hungry Jacks or a picnic at the Bluff, going to the Cinema, going to Hillcrest Primary to play basketball, as well as joining in the other excursions on offer in the Young Guns program.
