Keiko Caroline Street

Our Caroline Street service provides care for children aged birth to five years. We offer a variety of experiences to suit every child's individual needs.

As the only family grouping service along the North West Coast, we understand the importance of allowing siblings to learn and play together. Family grouping environments provide an appropriate setting to foster all areas of your child's development.

Some known benefits of family grouping for children include:

  • Language development occurs very well in mixed aged groups where children act as role models for others with fewer language skills
  • The social and emotional development needs occurs appropriately in a family grouped setting. New children can interact more comfortably and develop their own self-esteem and self-confidence
  • Fewer behavioural problems. Children of varying ages do not have to compete for the same play equipment as their play interests are often different and they tend to interact in more positive social ways.

We also offer specific programs throughout the day for children under two years of age and those children two years and over. This ensures children also have the opportunity to undertake aged appropriate experiences for their developmental needs; therefore they benefit from family grouping and specialised interest based activities for their age group.

Our Caroline Street service provides nutritious meals daily and we offer a six week rotating menu. We also provide morning and afternoon tea and can supply breakfast for an additional fee. We have a quality food safety program in place which is consistent with the requirements of the Food Safety Act 2003 and the national food safety standards.

Keiko Drew Street

Our Drew Street service caters for children aged three years to six years. We offer an Early Learning program where we encourage learning in all its various forms, in a fun and stimulating environment. We nurture and support early literacy and numeracy development, and the Early Years Learning Framework.

Keiko Drew Street recognises the importance of children undertaking different experiences and as such we offer innovative programs that are designed to stimulate the senses, promote active problem solving and help children to connect with each other.

Our programs also offer excursions to extend the range of experiences children have. Excursions broaden children's experiences within the community, they allow children to participate in activities away from the centre and provide an opportunity to learn new skills and to practice and extend on existing skills.

We provide nutritional morning and afternoon tea for the children, and can also provide breakfast for an additional fee. Parents are required to provide lunch and a drink bottle for their child/ren.

Before and After School Care: Our Drew Street program also offers a Before and After School Care service for children aged 4 years to 12 years.
